    Intakes Overview

Intakes are essential reports that each team member must fill out at the end of the event. They serve several critical purposes:

    Daily Report:

Provide a summary of how the day went, including any notable events or issues.

    File Counts:

Document the number of files and footage captured during the event.

    Invoicing:

Intakes are also used for invoicing, ensuring accurate and timely payment for your work.

    Submission Requirements:

Intakes must be submitted the night of the event after the footage has been delivered to the studio and uploaded.

Timely submission ensures smooth processing and helps maintain high standards of service and accountability.

  • The importing process is a crucial step to ensure that all footage and audio from your shoots are properly transferred and organized. This process involves several key steps, from removing all cards from equipment to uploading and organizing files on the server. As the primary shooter, you are responsible for ensuring that all event footage and audio, including your second shooter’s cards, are uploaded correctly.

For an in-depth, step-by-step breakdown of the importing process, please refer to our detailed guide here. This guide covers everything you need to know to complete the import process smoothly and efficiently.

    • These rates assume shooters meet all gear requirements outlined in our How We Do It guide.

The tier system ensures fairness, rewards growth, and creates a clear path for shooters to advance in both responsibility and compensation.

Professional Conduct, Boundaries & Safety Policy

  • We are a high-performance, high-character team. Our culture is built on respect, professionalism, and personal responsibility.

    • Treat every team member with courtesy, dignity, and respect.

    • Jokes or comments involving gender, sexuality, physical appearance, race, or personal relationships are off limits.

    • Flirting, romantic advances, or sexual comments toward team members — on or off the job — are prohibited.

    • Keep conversations and physical contact professional at ALL times.

    • If someone says a comment or behavior made them uncomfortable, we listen, own it, and adjust immediately.

Bottom line: We are here to serve our clients and represent the brand.
    Professional first. Always.

  • You may encounter guests who are overly friendly, drunk, or crossing personal boundaries.
You are never expected to tolerate inappropriate behavior from a guest, groomsman, bridesmaid, or anyone on-site.

    Examples of inappropriate behavior:

    • Sexual comments or jokes

    • Unwanted touching (hand on back, shoulder rubs, grabbing gear, blocking your path)

    • Drunk / aggressive behavior

    • Requests that cross personal boundaries (“Come take a shot with us,” etc.)

If something feels off, it is off.
You have the right to remove yourself from any uncomfortable situation immediately.

    How to respond (Script):

“I’m here working, please do not touch me or my equipment.”
“That comment is inappropriate. I need you to stop.”

If it continues → escalate to the planner on-site or call your manager.

“We need you to handle this. A guest is behaving inappropriately toward our staff.”

  • Our client contract states:

    • If a guest or vendor is acting inappropriately OR your safety is compromised,
you may stop coverage and leave the event.

    • The couple remains responsible for full payment.

    • Management will back your decision — no questions asked.

You are not alone, and you are not expected to “push through it.”

    • No retaliation for reporting concerns.

    • No punishment for calling out inappropriate behavior.

    • Your safety comes before photos or footage.

    If something happens:

    • Report it immediately to Yan or Sean.

    • Document what happened (name, location, brief summary).

We would rather lose a client than allow a team member to feel unsafe.

  • We are professional, not personal
    We set boundaries with confidence
    We escalate instead of tolerate
No touching, flirting, or suggestive comments — internally or externally

FAQS

  • You can bill 56 cents per mile after the first 120 miles (roundtrip) from our Providence location.

    Travel Calculator

  • Bill for the contracted time only. This is the time the couple has booked us for. For example, if the couple has contracted us for 8 hours from 12 PM to 8 PM, you bill for those hours regardless of early arrival for gear pickup or event setup. Billable time starts and ends according to the scheduled shooting time, not your return to the studio or other activities.

  • Tier assessments can be scheduled at any point throughout the year. Use the link found in this portal to schedule a time for an assessment. First, submit the prescreen questionnaire, and a manager will reach out to determine whether an assessment is necessary.

  • Yes, insurance is mandatory for all shooters at Move Mountains Co. It protects you, your equipment, and the company from potential liabilities and unforeseen events. Having insurance ensures that you are covered in case of accidents, equipment damage, or other incidents that may occur during a shoot.
