An Italian Love Story on the Water | Lake Como Engagement Session

This engagement session with Stephen and Skye felt cinematic from the start, set against misty mountains, historic villas, and the quiet hum of the water trailing behind a vintage wooden boat. Dressed in soft neutrals that echoed the landscape, they moved effortlessly between intimacy and play—barefoot elegance, wind-tousled hair, lace gloves catching the light, laughter spilling out between still frames. Nothing here felt staged; it felt lived in. Like a scene from an old European film, where love isn’t announced loudly, but revealed in glances, in touch, in the way Stephen and Skye leaned into each other while the world drifted by. Lake Como didn’t just serve as a backdrop—it became part of their story, timeless and romantic, holding space for a love that feels both classic and wildly alive.

Cody and Ali’s September 1st wedding at Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay in Morocco was filled with beauty, love, and unforgettable moments. The day began with an emotional first look in the hotel’s long white hallway, followed by portraits and family photos before a unique online marriage ceremony connecting them back to Maryland. With planning by Kay Northrup Events, Niara Iman, and Mon Mariage Au Maroc, every moment of the day unfolded seamlessly.

Their ceremony by the reflection pool and rooftop cocktail hour came to life with décor by Bea Quach Designs, catering by Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay, and music from Brahim Sekkate. Move Mountains Co. captured the celebration through photography and video, while Makeup by Jodie handled both hair and makeup to complete Ali’s stunning look. From heartfelt speeches and their romantic first dance to a lively night on the dance floor and a golf cart send-off, every detail of this Moroccan wedding was unforgettable.

A Stunning Lake Como Engagement Shoot

Few places evoke romance like Lake Como, Italy, making it the perfect backdrop for Stephen and Skye’s luxurious and cinematic engagement shoot. The session began aboard a taxi boat, where we had the entire lake to ourselves. We stopped on the water in front of Villa del Balbianello, the spot where they got engaged, capturing breathtaking moments against the serene landscape. This was followed by picturesque land locations that added depth to the shoot's cinematic feel.

After the boat ride, we headed to the stunning Villa Monastero gardens, surrounded by lush greenery and timeless Italian charm. The session concluded at Hotel Promessi Sposi, where their rehearsal dinner was set to take place later that evening. Each location perfectly reflected their love story. Okay, not trying to get cheesy or anything but shooting this engagement shoot felt a bit like a scene out of a movie. Some of our team members flew to Rome, Italy to capture all the nuptials surrounding Drew + Jacqueline’s wedding. A few days before the wedding, we spent the better half of the day adventuring around Rome and photographing romantic and carefree moments with Drew + Jacqueline. Though their wedding was only a few days later, we enjoyed getting to know the couple and experience one of their favorite destinations with them!

Kevin and Jordan’s Block Island destination wedding was a beachy, boho masterpiece! This was an emotional, meaningful weekend for Jordan’s family, as they have vacationed on Block Island for generations prior. Our wedding photography and videography team had the best time getting to know the bride and groom over the long weekend they spent together. Creativity ran wild as we explored all the island had to offer through drone coverage and renting some mopeds prior to the day of the wedding! This fun loving, down to earth couple made the weekend unforgettable.

Wedding photographers are always on the hunt for the best, most awe-inspiring spots to shoot! With old style engineering and rustic structure, Fort Adams in Newport, Rhode Island was just that place! Chuck and Kristin chose to explore Fort Adams and it’s rich history with their wedding photographer, Tiahna, for their dramatic and stunning engagement session. This couple flew all the way from Arizona to be here in Rhode Island for their Newport destination wedding! Chuck actively serves in the United States Marine Corps, and we were honored to spend some time with them before their wedding at the Newport Officer’s Club just a few days later!
