Alex and Taylor's two-hour wedding engagement session in Newport, Rhode Island meant more time for the bride and groom to get familiar and have some fun with their wedding photographer! Alex and Taylor had an extended engagement session thanks to the "Deluxe Too" package that they booked with us for wedding photography and wedding videography! During our action packed adventure, we got to explore Second Beach, and then 40 Steps in Newport, Rhode Island! We loved getting to know them for their sense of humor and sincere adoration for  each other. By the end of it, we walked away with sand in our toes and some amazing engagement photos! Sometimes as wedding photographers we get the perfect mix of a sweet couple, a chic feel, and perfect weather! And when it melts together you get a beautiful wedding with stunning wedding photos! Newport, Rhode Island is always a hot spot for engaged couples around wedding season, and Peter and Jean took it by storm. Top 5 Engagement Shoot Locations in Rhode Island

Couples can sometimes get caught up on choosing a location for their engagement shoot (whether you should have an engagement shoot is another blog post for another time, the short answer is, yes.) This blog post compiles of some of our favorite places to date!

When choosing a spot, we like to first defer to the couple as to what they like: nature, the city, their home, etc. Personally, we love nature and we've found that Rhode Island has plenty of versatile spots from the cliffs of Jamestown to the trails of The Audubon Society.

You really can't beat the Botanical Gardens in Roger Williams Park. There's nowhere else like it, and can be shot in year round which helps for those wintery sessions, not to mention that the light is always great!

This relaxed, intimate park just outside of Newport, Rhode Island created the best atmosphere for an adventure with Sean, their wedding photographer. The Botanical Gardens in Providence, Rhode Island became the perfect oasis for Brett and Bryce's mid-winter wedding engagement session. We love coming to this tropical greenhouse year-round for both engagements and weddings! Afterwards, we braved the cold at the Coventry Sand Dunes to get some beautiful, classic beach shots. It may have been January, but the results were totally worth it! Brett and Bryce's photos were taken by Sean as part of the Deluxe package: one of our most popular offers for wedding photography and wedding videography. We had an amazing time with Howard and Shreya during their three-day weekend wedding.
